Built around the idea of a radio play being performed in front of an audience, the format places actors at microphones with sound effects created live on stage. The story unfolds in real time, with comedy and tension coming from the pressure of keeping a “broadcast” on track as events begin to spiral.
The strength of Dead Air lies in its clarity. The format is immediately understood by an audience, requires minimal technical infrastructure, and delivers high engagement through strong writing, pace, and character.
